サウジ（Saudi)へ巡礼者（Hajj, Umrah)に対する髄膜炎ワクチン接種義務について
サウジアラビア政府は、巡礼者（巡礼地域での季節労働者を含む）に対して髄膜炎ワクチン接種を義務づけるとともに、同国入国の際にはワクチン接種証明書の提示を求めるとしています。
在サウジアラビア日本大使館より、サウジ民間航空総局 及び サウジ統一観光センターに照会したところ、髄膜炎ワクチン接種は巡礼者のみ対象であり2025年2月10日から実施、それ以外の旅行者は不要である旨確認しましたのでお知らせします。
※ 巡礼地域：メッカ（Makkha）、メディナ（Madinah）、ジェッダ（Jeddah）、タイフ（Taif）
※ 髄膜炎ワクチン接種以外にも、ポリオ・黄熱病ワクチン接種も規程がございます（一部対象）
※ 航空会社はチェックイン時に必要な接種証明書を確認し、必要要件を満たさない場合は搭乗できません

The Saudi Arabian government has mandated meningitis vaccination for pilgrims (including seasonal workers in pilgrimage areas) and requires the presentation of a vaccination certificate upon entry into the country.
Upon inquiry with the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority and the Saudi Unified Tourist Center by the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia, it has been confirmed that the meningitis vaccination requirement applies only to pilgrims and will be enforced from February 10. Other travelers are not required to undergo this vaccination.
※ Pilgrimage areas: Mecca (Makkah), Medina (Madinah), Jeddah, Taif
※ In addition to meningitis vaccination, there are regulations for polio and yellow fever vaccinations (applicable to some individuals)
※ Airlines will check for the necessary vaccination certificates during check-in, and passengers who do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to board.
